Victore Ingabire faces challenges as she targets the 2024 presidential election.  

Victoire Ingabire , A Rwandan opposition politician who publicly criticized the Rwandan Government, have requested clearance of Conviction in Rwanda’s High Court so that she can participate in 2024 presidential election, because she was sentenced to a term of imprisonment of more than two years.

Victoire Ingabire was sentenced 8 years of imprisonment ,On 13 December 2013, but she was released before 15 years by President Paul Kagame mercy. she was accused by the High Court of Kigali for causing insecurity in the country through terrorism and genocide denial. the allegations which Ingabire denied. the five crimes Madam Victoire Ingabire Umuhoza was accused include working with terrorist groups, tryto free the country, seeking to abolish the established government, Genocide ideology and causing divisions among Rwandans.

In order to be able to participate in the presidential elections, Victoire Ingabire submitted a request for clearance of conviction in Rwanda’s High Court located in Kigali; after being pardoned by the President of the Republic. in order to be able to participate in the elections scheduled for 2024. non-profit organizations, as well as other politicians have said that the reason why Victoire Ingabire was imprisoned was because of her political ideas. The Unproven accusations may deny him the right to participate in the 2024 presidential election. Rwanda has developed in different sectors but still there is lack of democracy, major problems in Rwanda democracy include nonexistent political opposition, weakness in civil society and lack of media freedom.
