Rwandans were killed, attacked by the government inside and outside the country. people who criticize the government are targeted, including journalists, politicians and other human rights activists who criticize the Rwandan government.
According to Human right watch report, over a dozen people have been killed, others have been kidnapped while others have disappeared, and physical attacks against Rwandans in the diaspora and efforts to extradite critics overseas back home.
According to HRW, the failure of the UN and international community to recognize the severity and scope of the Rwandan government’s human rights violations both domestically and abroad… have left many Rwandans with nowhere to turn.
